Lawyers are forbidden to represent conflicting interest by § 43a Abs. 4 BRAO (Federal Lawyers’ Act). Therefore, before accepting a client, we will always check for potential conflicts first.
Extrajudicial arbitration
Upon request the Regional Bar Association Berlin will arbitrate conflicts between lawyers and their clients in accordance to § § 73 Abs. 2 Nr. 3 and § 73 Abs. 5 BRAO. Furthermore arbitration in these cases is available at the German Bar Association’s Arbitration Board (§ 191 Abs. 1 BRAO) which you can contact via web at www.brak.de (category: Schlichtungsstelle der Rechtsanwaltschaft) or via e-mail at schlichtungsstelle@brak.de.
