Cookies

We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. These are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies, allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. However, completely deactivating cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of this website.

The data processed by cookies are necessary for the purposes mentioned to protect our legitimate interests and those of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Analysis tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. With the tracking measures used, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the continuous optimisation of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our offer for you. These interests are to be regarded as legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.

Google Analytics

We use the web analysis service Google Analytics for the purpose of designing and continuously optimising our website in line with requirements. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics also uses so-called “cookies”. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), host name of the accessing computer (IP address) and time of the server request are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information is used to analyse the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage for the purposes of market research and the needs-based design of this website. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on our behalf. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other Google data. The IP addresses are anonymised so that they cannot be assigned (IP masking).

You can find more information on how Google Analytics handles user data in Google’s privacy policy.

Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

We also use Google Conversion Tracking to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our website for you. If you have reached our website via a Google advert, Google Adwords will again place a so-called cookie on your computer. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit our website again and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that you have already clicked on the ad in the past and have been redirected to our website. Each Adwords customer receives their own cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via our website. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for us. This tells us the total number of users who clicked on our advert and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information with which we can personally identify you as a user.

Browser plugin

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”. Google’s privacy policy on conversion tracking can be found here.

Data security

We use the widespread SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser when you visit our website. As a rule, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can recognise whether an individual page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser. We also use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Especially when communicating by e-mail, data security cannot be guaranteed if the communication is not encrypted. We can therefore offer you communication with encrypted messages on express request and after discussing the technology to be used. Simply contact us about this.
